The training pertained to the identification of problems and solutions to depletion of natural resources, ground water, excessive use of chemical pesticides and effects on environment, to improve technical know-how for sustainable agriculture, soil nutrient management and marketing facilities, to manage livestock and to regularise health coverage and fodder storage during summer.

Experts in Dairy, Sericulture and other allied topics were invited from agricultural universities, government agricultural departments, NGOs and lead banks. They shared their knowledge and experiences with the farmers in the topic concerned. Progressive farmers also shared their experiences.

Vikas Kumar, Programme Officer, Vishwa Yuvak Kendra was the Programe Co-ordinator. It was heartening to note that farmers found the programme very effective and motivating.
