Non Governmental Organizations (NGOs) aim to work for causes aimed at having a positive impact on the society. However, paucity of funds hit them hard, adversely affecting their performance and preventing them from achieving their objectives. It is high time that the working approach of NGOs be made more professional and accountable, to ensure their sustainability and progress. The primary responsibility of raising the funds is that of the governing body and top level management. The various nuances of the subject need to be understood properly to ensure successful fund raising. Sources and resources should be approached in a planned and systematic manner. This requires Time, Energy, Investment and Knowledge. While talking about fund raising, the ethics of fund raising also need to be clearly understood by all concerned to avoid scams often associated with the NGO sector. Fund raising is thus not just about money. It is also about creating and nurturing relationship with supporters on all fronts. The NGOs’ respect, reputation and credibility depend upon it.

With this view in mind, Vishwa Yuvak Kendra is organizing a Training Programme on Fund Raising for the Senior level office bearers and functionaries of NGOs from 08 - 10 February, 2012 at Guwahati, Assam.

In this context we request you to depute maximum two representatives from your organisation to participate in the programme. You may also kindly note the following:

(1) The participants would be provided free boarding and lodging from 8 February, 2012, afternoon till 10 February,2012 lunch. (2)Each confirmed participant would be required to pay Rs.50/- towards registration fee by Cash, at the time of registration. (3)The programme would commence with registration at 11.00 am, to be followed by inauguration at 12.00 o’clock on 8 February, 2012. (4) Travel expenditure will be borne by the participants.

The venue of the training programme will be Srimanta Sankaradeva Kalakshetra, Panjabari, Guwahati- 21. Please send the completed application form to confirm your participation along with the registration fee latest by 01 February, 2012.
