| Abstract: : The present paper tries to depict the level of immunization coverage among the children of the younger mothers in India. The paper also investigates the determining factors for immunization of the children of younger mothers. District Level Household Survey (DLHS) data under Reproductive and Child Health (RCH) programme is analyzed for the present study. Bivariate and multivariate analyses are done to fulfill the objectives. Results indicate that in spite of launching universal immunization programmes in India, still one third of the children of the younger mothers are partially immunized and approximately one – fifth of the children of the young mothers are not covered by any type of immunization and the gap has widened much more among the illiterates, low economic status, rural areas and also residing in backward regions. | |
