| Abstract: : : Horrendous occurrences of abuse, torture, sexual abuse, murder, cruelty, trauma and bestiality - all in the name of ragging - continue to be reported from centres for higher education across the country. The present paper seeks to problematize the dialectical relationship between youth, ragging and academics. It explores various contours, causes and consequences of ragging; evolves a conspectus on integration of youth and academics and urges the State to adopt a national policy for the youth. | |
